Winland and RoHS Compliance Leadership

Winland has been fully committed to the successful transition of both existing and new customer designs to meet the RoHS requirements. This is supported through assembly work instruction, process control and Business System Manual changes. These efforts include:

• Validated and verified processes to qualify RoHS lead free equipment and processes using Design of Experiments and third party auditing
• Inventory and procurement processes established to control lead free components and assemblies. Strict identification and segregation of RoHS compliant and non-compliant inventory through configuration management;
• New equipment and production tools for dedicated lead-free manufacturing lines;
• Highly visible controls and indicators for manufacturing line management;
• Extensive training of both technical and manufacturing staff on RoHS-compliant parts, materials and processes and inspection;
• Staff trained to IPC rework and repair standards
• Proven process control through the delivery of RoHS compliant product to the customer base since January 2005
