Winland's Machine Communications Platforms (MCP), are a complete set of development building blocks for integrating RF wireless capability into your wireless sensor network design or machine communications project. These tools will enable the connection of machines, sensors and remote monitoring devices to host networks or primary controllers in a virtually limitless range of applications.
Originally developed by Winland for a wireless temperature sensing application, we broadened the scope to include extensive functionalities including:
- Multiple operating systems (e.g. µClinux, µC/OS-II, et.al)
- All common peripheral choices (e.g., Ethernet, analog-to-digital, Firewire, USB, multiple serial ports, etc)
- Wireless formats including Zigbee, 802.11b, WiFi, Bluetooth
- External alarm event messaging via GSM modem or TCP/IP
We recognize that there is usually no fully "STOCK" solution to your wireless integration needs. With the Winland MCP building blocks, we can choose from a vast amount of engineering expertise and hardware and software modules to develop your product at the lowest cost and fastest time to market.
Most companies simply do not have the staff or experience to deal with the many subtle aspects of a wireless engineering development. These include 32 bit microprocessor code development, sensor integration, low-power battery life, wireless transmission management, FCC compliance testing, and much more. With the Winland technical team and MCP Platform, much of the work is already done, and your staff can focus on the application specific parts of the project.
